Who we are

Upship AI LLC is a software consulting company based in the United States. This policy covers the website at upship.ai and any subdomains we operate.

What data we collect

Email correspondence

When you email us at joey@upship.ai, we collect your email address, name (if provided), and message content. We use this only to respond to your inquiry. We don't add you to a mailing list or share it with third parties.

Quiz data (quiz.upship.ai)

When you take a quiz, we store your answers and results. This data is anonymous by default — linked only to a random session ID. If you choose to create an account, your email address is linked to your results so you can access them later. If you opt in to email updates, we'll use your address to send occasional updates about new quizzes and results.

Analytics

We use Microsoft Clarity across upship.ai and its subdomains. Clarity collects usage data including page views, clicks, scroll depth, and session recordings. It sets cookies to distinguish users and understand behavior across pages. Clarity does not collect personal information like names or email addresses. See Microsoft's privacy statement for details on how Clarity data is handled.

Error tracking

The quiz app uses Sentry to detect and diagnose software errors. Sentry may collect technical data like browser type, error messages, and stack traces. It does not collect personal information.

Where your data is stored

Email is handled through standard email providers in the United States. Quiz data is stored by Supabase (hosted on AWS in the US). Analytics data is processed by Microsoft. If you're in the UK or EU, this means your data is transferred to and stored in the US.

How long we keep it

Email correspondence is kept for as long as it's relevant to a business relationship. Quiz results are kept indefinitely so you can return to them. You can request deletion of any data at any time.

Cookies

This site uses cookies set by Microsoft Clarity for analytics purposes. The quiz subdomain also uses cookies for authentication (keeping you logged in). No advertising or third-party marketing cookies are used.

Your rights

If you're in the UK or EU, you have the right to:

• Access — Ask what personal data we hold about you
• Correction — Ask us to fix anything that's wrong
• Deletion — Ask us to delete your data
• Portability — Ask for a copy of your data in a common format
• Objection — Object to how we're using your data

Changes to this policy

We'll update this page when something changes. Material changes will be noted with an updated date at the top.
